Mission Statement

Mission Statement for Sharing the Plan of Salvation with the Deaf Community

Our mission is to bring the message of salvation and share the love of Jesus Christ with the Deaf community, offering a clear and accessible understanding of the plan of salvation. Through the use of American Sign Language (ASL), we strive to foster an environment where trust and love are built through meaningful communication. By embracing the unique culture of the Deaf community, we aim to help individuals feel seen, heard, and understood as we walk together in faith.

Our Purpose:
1. To Share the Plan of Salvation:

We seek to communicate the core principles of the plan of salvation — faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end — in a way that is culturally relevant, clear, and spiritually enriching for Deaf individuals.

2. To Cultivate a Spirit of Love and Trust:

We are committed to demonstrating the love of Christ through our actions, ensuring that every member of the Deaf community feels valued and understood. We approach each interaction with empathy, kindness, and respect, acknowledging the unique experiences and challenges of Deaf individuals while sharing the hope of the gospel.

3. To Use American Sign Language as the Primary Communication Method:

We are dedicated to using ASL as the primary mode of communication in all aspects of our mission. We believe that language is a vital tool for connection, and ASL allows us to bridge the gap and share the message of Christ in a way that is both effective and authentic.

4. To Build Relationships and Foster Community:

We aim to create an inclusive environment where Deaf individuals can connect with one another and feel supported in their spiritual journeys. Through group discussions, individual connections, and events, we seek to build lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

5. To Provide Ongoing Support and Resources:

Our mission is not just to share the gospel, but also to provide continuous support. Whether through ASL Bible study groups, spiritual counseling, or mentorship, we are here to walk alongside Deaf individuals and help them grow in their relationship with Christ.

By fostering an atmosphere of love, trust, and understanding, we strive to bring the fullness of the gospel to the Deaf community, empowering individuals to embrace the plan of salvation and live according to God's will for them.
